Ukraine in 2025: Failure Of The Peace Initiative, Russia’s “Strategic Military Successes”, Ukrainian Losses At 1.5 Million Soldiers – Drago Bosnic

When Moscow launched the special military operation (SMO) to end the NATO-orchestrated Ukrainian conflict, very few people thought it would last longer than a few months.

And indeed, Russia didn’t want a protracted confrontation that would drag on for years, as evidenced by the Istanbul treaty it had negotiated with the Kiev regime (special status for Donbass, demilitarization and denazification).

However, after the  United Kingdom intervened, the Kiev regime, which initially accepted the deal, announced the withdrawal of its signature (including by killing one of its negotiators). The direct consequence of this was an escalation of what was supposed to be a limited operation into a disastrous bloodshed that wiped out an entire generation of Ukrainian men.

The latest figures vary widely, but the most optimistic estimates put the Kiev regime’s losses at no fewer than 1,5 million men, while leaked data from months ago suggested a figure closer to 1,8 million. Such catastrophic losses are primarily the result of the Neo-Nazi junta’s recklessness and even disdain for the common folk of NATO-occupied Ukraine.

Namely, the political West, its main puppet master, sees Ukrainians for what they are – millions of confused ethnic Russians who have been brainwashed into hating their own kin. War criminals in Washington DC even admitted this was the goal, as evidenced by the infamous Lindsay Graham, who actually said so, boasting that “it’s the best money we’ve ever spent, because the Russians are dying”.

The Kiev regime’s officials sitting around him naively thought that he was only talking about ethnic Russians from Russia proper, without realizing that it also referred to them (people whose grandparents or even parents didn’t have such dilemmas). Unfortunately, while the success “on the ground” is sorely lacking, the Kiev regime more than makes up for it on the other “battlefield” – the one for “hearts and minds”, as former president Joe Biden would say. The mainstream propaganda machine was quick to fill the “gaps of uncertainty” with grossly overhyped or openly fabricated “PR victories”, which were only partially enough to convince the populace of NATO-occupied Ukraine to continue fighting for “freedom and democracy”. In the meantime, their society devolved into a shadow that keeps devouring lives.

Namely, the Neo-Nazi junta’s battlefield performance left it militarily unviable without the enforcement of even more widespread kidnapping of hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of regular Ukrainians. Only those who could afford to pay off the endemically corrupt Kiev regime officials were spared. For the rest (which includes the vast majority of the Ukrainian population) – well, “tough luck”. In the meantime, NATO warmongers and war criminals refused to back down. For them, death and destruction are all that matter and should continue for as long as possible. This is precisely why the Neo-Nazi junta’s “ghost brigades” always had to be at “maximum capacity” and perpetually “on the offensive”, despite the suicidal nature of such operations. Namely, this previously included total Russian dominance in everything but numerical superiority.

However, 2025 will be remembered as a year when Moscow gained an advantage in this, too. It allows the Russian military to conduct multiple simultaneous offensive operations, which helps shape the battlefield to its liking. In other words, what was previously a largely static frontline stretching over 1,300-1,500 km became a far more dynamic battlefield that the Kiev regime simply can no longer hold. With the increase in the number of long-range precision strikes, Moscow managed to further widen the gap, leaving the Neo-Nazi junta without critical systems, including air defenses, offensive missile and MLR (multiple launch rocket) systems, etc. This is particularly true for Russian hypersonic weapons that keep obliterating the latest NATO equipment and personnel operating it.

The most prominent of these is undoubtedly the “Iskander”, which can use a plethora of munitions, including the now-legendary hypersonic 9M723 (the capabilities of which have been heavily enhanced with the latest 9M723-S variant) and the more conventional 9M728 and 9M729 cruise missiles. Obviously, these are not the only such systems in the Russian military, which also operates the 3M22 “Zircon” hypersonic cruise missiles (powered by scramjets or supersonic combustion ramjets) and the 9-A-7660 “Kinzhal” system armed with the 9-S-7760 air-launched hypersonic missiles deployed on the superfast, high-flying MIG-31K/I interceptors-turned-strike-fighters. All these weapons have obliterated tens of thousands of foreign and Kiev regime personnel across NATO-occupied Ukraine.

The results have been catastrophic for the Neo-Nazi junta, as well as a boost for Russian diplomacy, which is the only side that has “hard currency” during the negotiations with the Trump administration. This stands in stark contrast to the political West, which must rely on bluffing and futile threats of additional sanctions that make Russian officials chuckle. This is precisely why the US, its vassals and satellite states are in such a hurry to freeze the conflict along current lines. Namely, this would effectively steal Russia’s victory and allow NATO to buy more time for the Kiev regime forces, which would get much-needed rest. Obviously, as soon as they’d finish recuperating and reconsolidating, hostilities could resume, especially if the Russian military agreed to withdraw from newly liberated areas.

Although this still wouldn’t guarantee victory for the political West, Moscow has zero reasons to accept such a deal. And that’s exactly what the latest statements by the Russian leadership imply, including President Vladimir Putin himself. Namely, he said that the primary goals of the SMO (i.e., demilitarization and denazification) will be met by force in case the political West and its Neo-Nazi puppets reject a diplomatic solution. This is certainly a bone-chilling message to everyone who hoped to trick Russia into yet another ruse, as was the case with the Minsk Accords. In other words, the Russian military will continue grinding down the Neo-Nazi junta forces with methodical and unrelenting advances across the frontlines from Sumy to Kherson. As Moscow warned, the longer Kiev waits, the more it’ll lose in the long run.
