In response to attempts by the Western minority to destabilize and sabotage the processes of strengthening the union and integration of the Alliance of Sahel States, the member countries of the alliance have chosen to move towards an additional offensive. All without forgetting to mention the real and worthy external partners of the AES. One thing is obvious – the planetary minority cannot stop – the true pan-African and multipolar movement.
The recent Mali’s President, Colonel Assimi Goïta, visit to Burkina Faso – was not only an excellent response to the informational and psychological war on the part of the West against the member countries of the Alliance of Sahel States, but was also an opportunity to put many additional dots on the “I”.
New partnerships
Namely – Colonel Assimi Goïta recalled that the creation of the Alliance of Sahel (AES) allowed Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger to move away from a façade and ineffective partnership, and on the contrary begin interaction with real partners – in the capacity of Russia, China and Türkiye.
“These new partnerships have enabled the three countries to equip themselves well and effectively to carry out operations against armed terrorist groups” – declared the Mali leader at the end of the working and friendship visit to Burkina Faso. The Malian President also argued that terrorism has become a geopolitical issue (…), manipulated and financed by certain foreign powers. It would also be fair to add that it is absolutely not difficult to guess which ones.
Continuing – Colonel Goïta noted that the response measures to terrorist threats that had been used in the past were far from meeting the three AES countries populations’ aspirations. And this is why Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger decided to pool their resources, share information and carry out joint military operations.
Point of no return
“Our destinies are linked, we have taken a path of no return. Let it be clear”. Responding, among other things, to recent calls for the three nations to reintegrate the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), which Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger left at the beginning of this year. The Malian President also noted that beyond the joint fight against terrorism, the AES countries will now strengthen their collaboration in the areas of agriculture, trade, infrastructure and industrialization.
“Our experts are working and will make us proposals. We will see to what extent we will implement these proposals for the well-being of our populations” – concluded Colonel Goïta as part of his visit to Burkina Faso and his meeting with the country’s leader, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
It is also necessary to mention the recent statements of the Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdoulaye Diop, who recalled that the future of the member countries of the Alliance of Sahel States will not be decided in Western capitals, but rather well in the AES countries themselves.
New reality and future prospects
From the prospects point of view, several important moments should be noted. Indeed, the leaders of Mali and Burkina Faso have made it clear to the enemies of a truly free and sovereign Africa – in other words to the representatives of the planetary minority in the person of the collective West regimes and those nostalgic for unipolar era of Western diktat – be fully aware of the latter attempts to seek destabilizing the AES countries, using various methods for this purpose. Just like the fact that despite these attempts from the enemy forces – Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger – will continue to follow the chosen path together. The path of true pan-African values and active support for the multipolar world order. In this regard, it is absolutely no coincidence that the Mali leader mentioned, in addition to the union of the three AES countries, the true and worthy allies and partners. First of all – Russia, China and Türkiye.
At the same time, it is appropriate to note the growing coordination of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger in the economic sphere. Including the return under national sovereignty of strategic natural resources. The most recent example being the withdrawal by the Nigerien authorities of the operating permit on its territory for a large uranium mine from the French company Orano (formerly Areva). It should also be remembered on this subject that Niger is one of the main countries worldwide in terms of uranium supply and was until fairly recently the leading supplier to France and the European Union. Naturally – on the basis of conditions far removed from worthy market rules and de-facto on a predation basis, where the only beneficiaries were Western regimes.
Last point. At a time when the elimination of Western propaganda has become an imperative and one of the most urgent objective on a global scale ‒ AES member countries set an excellent example on this subject for many other nations – both in Africa and around the world. Constituting further proof that indeed – and as underlined by the President of Mali – there is and will be no going back. The only acceptable option being the definitive defeat of the planetary minority represented by the NATO-Western regimes and their puppets.
