Earlier this month the CNN reporter was stunned that some 7,000 civilians daily are crossing into the Russian-liberated territories while exactly zero cross to the Kiev’s regime side (see video below). Now, the Kiev regime, as of Sunday decided to keep its citizens hostages and unilaterally completely blocked the exit of civilian population through its checkpoint towards the Zaporozhye’s Vasilyevka, head of regional military-civilian administration Yevgeny Balitsky said.
Ukrainian authorities unilaterally barred entry to the liberated part of the Zaporozhye Region through the only checkpoint on the contact line in the city of Vasilyevka, Yevgeny Balitsky said on Sunday. “The Kiev regime unilaterally completely blocked exit through its checkpoint towards the Vasilyevka checkpoint on the liberated part of the Zaporozhye Region,” Balitsky said on his Telegram channel.
Melitopol is currently serving as the region’s administrative center instead.
Thousands daily seek to flee Kiev-controlled zone of Zaporozhye Region, official says
It is reported that some 73% of the Zaporozhye Region has been liberated, yet the city of Zaporozhye is still under the yoke of the Kiev regime.
Liberating the region is now the top priority, he emphasized. “People over there have been living in constant fear, terror and intimidation. Hence, a growing number of people are seeking to flee to the liberated territories, that’s why they have been blocked from leaving,” Rogov explained.
“There are constantly several thousand [people] standing in line [at the checkpoint] every day,” he added.
From September 23 to September 27, the Donetsk and the Lugansk People’s Republics as well as the Kherson and the Zaporozhye Regions held referendums where the majority of voters opted to join Russia. President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the four regions signed treaties on their accession to Russia at a Kremlin-hosted ceremony on Friday.
(Video) Ukrainians Fleeing To Russian-Held Territory In Droves
CNN’s Nick Robertson speaks with civilians – where flooding in the region has turned the road to mud – and who are fleeing the Kiev regime on the route toward Russian-liberated territory, south of Zaporozhye, to reunite with family, being astonished that they want to be part of Russia. Notice the fake headline again, “some” civilians, when in the video itself he admits that all traffic is one-way, towards Russian-liberated territories.
