Indian occupied forces have extensively increased its brutalities against innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir. As many as 50 civilians (Muslims) have been killed in the valley in October and November 2021 during staged encounters by Indian forces. In addition to this, clashes between Kashmiri fighters and Indian government forces have claimed the lives of at least 140 so far this year. The killing spree of innocent Kashmiris perpetuated by Indian occupation forces continues with shameless impunity. It further exposes the unspeakable violence being perpetrated by the Hindutva inspired extremist BJP-RSS combine that has turned IIOJK into an inferno where no one, not even innocent civilians, professionals, women, children and elderly are safe from the state-terrorism of the occupation forces.
Despite facing severe international criticism over its inhumane treatment of Kashmiris, belligerent Modi government refused to listen voices of Kashmiris and trying its utmost to suppress them by using force. On the other hand, Indian hawkish politicians are making tall claim that the insurgency and infiltrations attempts decreased significantly since the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A in the valley.
If so called Indian claims are true, the question arise here is that why Modi government is using force in the valley extensively? Why Indian forces are putting entire valley under lockdown? Why civilians are being killed in staged encounters? These are the major questions, which needs answers from Indian government as well as international community. Pakistan’s MOFA spokesman also condemned inhuman and callous practice of not handing over the mortal remains of the martyred Kashmiris to their families. The so called champions of human rights are silent on this humanitarian issue in the valley. The role of international organizations is also questionable when it comes to condemn Indian atrocities in the valley.
There are few countries in the world who are standing by with Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Turkey is leading the list. President Erdogan vehemently condemned Indian illegal occupation in Jammu and Kashmir, during his speech at UNGA. He reiterated his stance many times after UN speech. Unfortunately, Muslim states and organizations such as OIC, Arab League and GCC not played their due role to highlight this humanitarian crisis and treatment of Indian forces in the valley. This is most terrible thing for the Muslim world.
Despite facing Islamophobia in West, biased treatment of Muslims and hate incident across the world against Muslims, Islamic world is still silent. Major Islamic economies are investing heavily in Western states. Instead of highlight common issues, Islamic world’s leaders are trying to protect their personal and strategic interests. When we see this attitude of Islamic world, the idea of realism proves right. There are no permanent friends and enemies in the world. Every state is custodian of its national interests. The primary objective of state is to protect is own national interests.
Pakistan is the only country after Turkey, who is standing shoulder to shoulder with Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Prime Minister Imran Khan is leading the case of Kashmiri people and exposing Indian nationalist designs at every international forum including UN. He even instructed Pakistan’s embassies abroad to highlight sacrifices of Kashmiri people and brutalities of Indian forces. Pakistan condemns every Indian illegal action in Jammu and Kashmir. The recent fake encounters of Indian forces in the valley met with severe reaction from Pakistan as its Ministry of Foreign strongly condemns the staged encounters of Indian forces in the valley. Pakistan once again reiterated its calls for self-determination policy in the valley. PM Imran Khan asked world leaders to snub Indian government over its undemocratic policies in the valley. He rightly exposed Hindutva designs of BJP-led Indian government, which are putting the regional stability in jeopardy.
Pakistan also urges the international community to play its role for a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UNSC resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people for durable peace and stability in the region. The end of Nehruvian India is creating chaos within the country where minorities especially Muslims are being tortured, killed and subjected to discriminatory approach of hawkish Indian politicians. With the recent illegal and unjustifiable actions of Modi government, the concept of Nehruvain Secular India has been vanished from India and it will have serious repercussions not only for Indian society, but the future of Indian federation will be at stake in a days to come. The hatred sentiments created by BJP and RSS will have spill-over effects on Indian society in the future.
