Fake News Led To The Disgraceful Fall Of Kiev’s Human Rights Chief – Andrew Korybko OneWorld

While those on the other side of this conflict might celebrate the self-inflicted damage that she caused to their opponents, nobody should take any joy in knowing that someone lied about sexual crimes and therefore made it much more difficult for actual victims the world over to make their voices heard after they’ve been violated.

The US-led Western Mainstream Media (MSM) has followed the principle of “believe all women” ever since the #MeToo movement from a few years back, but they were just played as fools by Kiev’s human rights ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova after she admitted to “exaggerating” stories about the Russian Armed Forces (RAF) raping Ukrainians in an attempt to score more weapons for her country. Those who’ve been indoctrinated into cultishly worshipping “The Current Thing”, which in this case is to support the US-led NATO proxy war on Russia through Ukraine, will probably scoff at this claim and instinctively concoct a conspiracy theory that it’s all so-called “Russian propaganda”.

The truth, however, was actually admitted by none other than Denisova herself in an interview with her country’s media following her disgraceful fall after parliament fired her late last month for discrediting Kiev’s cause. After a representative said at the time that she “could not substantiate with evidence” her detailed obsession with sexual crimes, and especially those against minors, she sheepishly told her media interlocutor a few days later that “indeed, maybe I exaggerated. But I tried to achieve the goal of convincing the world to provide weapons and pressure (on Russia).” In other words, she shamefully exploited the #MeToo movement’s motto about “believing all women” in order procure more arms.

Not only that, but she also wanted to smear Russia in the court of global opinion, to which end she largely succeeded at least with respect to the US-led West since its MSM unquestionably republished and thus majorly amplified her “exaggerated” (read: false) claims. What they did was a disservice to real victims of sexual assault by laundering fake news about these war crimes, however. The media-military complex that’s already existed can therefore be said to have expanded to include a third part, the feminist one, to now become the media-military-feminist complex of the post-modern US-led West. That said, some members within this complex might still feel uncomfortable lying about sexual crimes.

After all, it’s an ultra-serious matter that shouldn’t be casually thrown around, let alone just to guilt foreign countries into sending some more arms to one’s own. There are other ways to spin a narrative in pursuit of that goal without having to stoop so low as to lie about rape, not to mention in such creepy detail that one can’t help but wonder how her mind could possibly imagine the acts that she described. Leaving aside the ad hominem innuendo in speculating about what content she might voluntarily expose herself to on the internet, there’s no denying that what she did was dead wrong and a disgrace to all the legitimate victims that have joined the #MeToo movement in pursuit of accountability and justice.

The most effective information warfare campaigns are conducted not through the employment of fake news, but by sharing facts, especially those that the other side is suppressing. Lies always discredit those who are spreading them, and people who propagate – let alone invent – lies about sexual crimes are among the worst creatures on this planet. Denisova dishonorably joins their ranks after what she did. There was no reason for her to lie about rape, nor to share the extremely vivid details of these imaginary crimes. Simply playing to other countries’ delusional belief in so-called “democracy” could have likely resulted in the same outcome of procuring more arms for her country.

She went overboard for whatever reason she did, which more than likely is somehow or another connected to her personal matters that can only be speculated about, and in doing so ended up completely discrediting Kiev’s cause. While those on the other side of this conflict might celebrate the self-inflicted damage that she caused to their opponents, nobody should take any joy in knowing that someone lied about sexual crimes and therefore made it much more difficult for actual victims the world over to make their voices heard after they’ve been violated. Denisova deserves her disgraceful fall and is a perfect example of the type of “over-passionate supporter” that ultimately discredits their cause.
