NATO Nations Start To Go Public About US Government’s International Dictatorship – Eric Zuesse

An international dictatorship is not merely a dictatorship over its own population — a domestic dictatorship — but is instead a far more dangerous type of dictatorship: an empire. For example: if Hitler, Mussolini, and Hirohito, had been dictatorial over ONLY Germans, Italians, and Japanese, then those fascists would not have been invading other lands; and, so, the harms they perpetrated would have been only domestic. Today, there is only one remaining empire, and it is headed by a nation that pretends to be a democracy and that therefore avoids calling its vast realm of international control an “empire.” It’s the U.S.; and, with its empire, it is called the “U.S.-and-allied” countries; but, now, it is harming some of its vassal-nations enough for even leaders in those stooge-regimes to be starting to strike back publicly against their imperial (or maybe former imperial) center:

On Friday, February 3rd, Russia’s RT News headlined “US should get ‘filthy hands’ off Türkiye – minister”, and reported:

Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu accused Washington of working to hurt his country amid a consulate closure row

Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu accused US ambassador Jeffry Flake of trying to “confuse” people in the host nation and told him to get his “filthy hands” off the country. He has previously claimed that Western nations were waging “psychological warfare” to undermine tourism in Türkiye.

“I’m telling you very clearly, get your filthy hands off Türkiye. I know clearly what you have done, what steps you have taken, and how you want to confuse Türkiye,” the minister said in a speech on Friday.

Soylu claimed the first questions “every US ambassador” arriving in Türkiye was asked were “How can I stage a coup” and “How can I harm Türkiye.” The minister also stated that European nations were “run” by American diplomats.

That news-report linked to another at RT, “EU nation slams US ambassador over ‘interference’: Nobody can tell Hungary’s citizens how they should live, Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto asserts”. Unlike Turkey, Hungary is in both NATO and the EU. This news-report, which also was on February 3rd, opened:

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto issued a scathing rebuke of the US ambassador to Budapest on Thursday, asserting that he has no business meddling in the nation’s internal affairs.

The minister’s comments came after Ambassador David Pressman, who has represented Washington in Budapest since September 2022, told Politico earlier this week that Hungarian policymakers “continue to push policies endorsed by [Russian President Vladimir] Putin.” He was referring to Budapest’s opposition to anti-Russia sanctions and support of Moscow’s proposals for a ceasefire.

When asked to respond to the statement at a press conference, Szijjarto said, “Nobody can tell us from the outside how to live, so it is of no interest what a citizen of another country – be it an ambassador – thinks about the domestic political processes in Hungary.

“We ask for more respect for the Hungarians, even from the ambassador,” he added.

It is not Pressman’s “job to interfere in the internal affairs of Hungary,” the minister declared.

“If he wants to use his stay in Hungary to qualify the activities of the government elected by the Hungarian people with a fairly clear majority… then he will have a very difficult time,” he added.

Szijjarto noted that when Hungary receives foreign ambassadors, it expects them to behave appropriately and work to improve bilateral relations. “We welcome non-governors and non-regents,” he stated, emphasizing that the era of foreign envoys telling Hungarians how to live in their own country “is over.”

This might be the moment when history turns against the U.S. Government in much the same way that history turned against the Soviet Government during 1989-90, and what had been a bipolar world (ruled by the U.S. and the U.S.S.R.) turned into the current mono-polar one (the U.S. reigning alone), which — after its defeats in Iraq, and in Libya, and in Syria, and in Afghanistan (after its failure much earlier in Vietnam, in 1975) — is now failing also in Ukraine, which is its first and only full-fledged proxy-war against, and aiming to conquer ultimately, Russia. Russia is standing its ground now, finally to conquer Ukraine after U.S. President Barack Obama had grabbed that country on Russia’s border, in a very bloody February 2014 coup, which installed there a rabidly anti-Russian government that mortally endangers Russian national security against the U.S.-and-allied threat of a nuclear checkmate on Russia’s border (a 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis in reverse).

It is becoming increasingly obvious that the U.S. Government is a dictatorship; and the more obvious it becomes, the less that the publics throughout the world will continue to buy into the Big Lie of that imperialist-fascist regime.
