Contrary to reports in western media, the US instigated war in Ukraine is failing, despite billions of dollars of weapons, funds and mercenaries sent by NATO to “weaken” Russia. While these reports continually reiterate how the world condemns Russia for its military actions in Ukraine, they omit the fact that by “world” they mean the white Anglo Saxon countries consisting mainly of US, UK, Europe, and Australia.
According to analysts the Ukraine war has deepened the divide between the Global North and the Global South, with the latter still recovering from the unending ‘War on Terror’ policies that destabilised countries in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa to the point where there are thousands of US Special Forces in over 140 countries involved in clandestine operations answerable to no one. Julian Assange is in jail for precisely this reason, exposing US and NATO crimes committed against civilians with impunity.
Not only has the Global South not condemned Russia, but instead countries previously bullied by the US through the IMF, World Bank and sanctions are applauding President Putin for standing up to US and NATO. President Putin is in fact being viewed as a hero fighting the western globalist plan to establish hegemonic supremacy based on a “US ruled based order.”
At the St Petersburg International Economic forum (SPIEF) where 13, 500 participated from 141 countries around the world, President Putin stated that Russian soldiers and the Donbass militia are fighting “for Russia’s future as a large free and secure multi-ethnic country that makes its own decisions determines its own future, relies on its history culture and traditions, and rejects any and all outside attempts to impose pseudo values seeped in dehumanisation and more degradation…”
According to Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin, said to be the brains behind President Putin “this is not a war with Ukraine, this is a confrontation with globalism as a whole planetary phenomenon. Confrontation at all levels, geopolitical and ideological. Russia rejects everything in globalism, mono-polarity, Atlanticism… liberalism, anti-tradition technocracy” in one word the “Great Reset.”
By “Great Reset” he is referring to the World Economic Forum (WEF) agenda, which is quite explicit on their website, promoting a world where “you’ll own nothing and you’ll be happy” ruled by one world government of unelected oligarchs; where humanity will be controlled through using sound waves, vaccines, with smart phones built into your clothing and body.
The disinformation campaign through M16 and CIA media channels continually reinforce the contrived notion that ‘Russia is losing in Ukraine’, that ‘Putin does not have long to live’ and that his ‘troops have committed 100,000 war crimes’. As logic dictates there is always two side to a story, but it is difficult to understand Russia’s position under this deluge of disinformation by western media to drown out the Russian narrative.
Examining Dugin’s writings and speeches, Russia’s position with regards to the conflict becomes clearer and more understandable and clarifies that Moscow is not pursuing an expansionist agenda.
Edward Stawiarski in ‘Foreign policy as a spiritual warfare: A conversation with Aleksandr Dugin’, describes him as a “mystic, political strategist, radical bohemian, and geopolitical guru” whose religious and spiritual beliefs embedded in his philosophy “are informed on the one hand by perennialism and the esoteric traditionalism of the French intellectual René Guénon, which attempt to synthesize Eastern metaphysics with Western philosophy, and on the other hand, by Russian Orthodox Christianity”.
For Dugin it is a spiritual fight against modernity which Western elites promote and is manifested today as “Liberalism, LGBT culture, artificial intelligence, banks and capitalism.” Simply put Dugin argues that modern western liberal philosophy wants to “free us from God,” from the Church, from the land we live on, from our gender, from our race. He argues the descent of the western Roman Church into liberalism plus Protestantism and its principles of the work ethic has led to capitalism and a “totally secular and hedonistic society.”
His fight against ‘liberal modernity’ resonates well with Global South nations, many still seeped in centuries of civilisational traditions based on religion and culture; who still cannot comprehend why schools in the West insist on giving children as young as 5 sex lectures in schools about LGBT and homosexuality or why LGBT men with male genitalia are being placed in women’s prisons and the subsequent rape incidences is ignored by the Prison hierarchy as ‘political correctness’.
In “Are Students Awakening to the Pitfalls of a ‘Woke’ American Education” Robert Bridge cites an experience of a freshman in a college in Michigan who said, “I couldn’t say ‘born male,’ I had to say, ‘sex assigned at birth male.’ ‘Ladies and gentlemen’ should be replaced with ‘folks,’ and ‘opposite sexes’ should be changed to ‘all genders.’”
In a 2019 debate with pro liberalism philosopher Bernard Levy, notorious for being a cheerleader for Washington and Israel’s regime change operations in the name of ‘democracy’ in places like Syria, Libya, Ukraine, Dugin argued that a new form of racism has evolved, “Those who are in favour of western values are good… Everybody who challenges that in the Islamic tradition, in the Russia tradition in the Chinese tradition …they are populists and are classified as fascism.
An article in Boston Review titled “Putin’s Anti-Gay war in Ukraine” attempts to denigrate Putin’s “traditional values” which include “patriotism, spirituality, rootedness in history, respect for authority, and adherence to heteronormative and patriarchal ideals of family and gender” as something to be ashamed of.
Alexander Dugin is the main force behind Euraisanism to create a multipolar world. The aim of the Euraisanists is to “end the unipolar Atlantic world and to coordinate and promote all the forces opposing the unipolar Atlanticist mission of globalisation, namely the total liberalisation of the entire planet.” They also point out that this process of globalisation begins with genocide, which is evident when examining how America, Canada and Australia were founded on the extermination of Indigenous native population.
It is no wonder that Putin is being viewed as an anti-imperialist taking on the American Empire by not only developing nations but also in the West. Where fundamental questions are being raised questioning US and NATO’s actions regarding sending billions of dollars to Ukraine, while western countries are suffering a severe economic crises, energy, and food shortages.
Wolfgang Munchau, writing for Euro- Intelligence asks the question “did we think this through” pointing out how by collaborating with US sanctions against Russia “has imprisoned Europe in a cage of adverse dynamics which threaten its economy, its autonomy, its globalism and its being”
He also points out the “danger of the world becoming subject to two trading blocs: the west and the rest. Supply chains will be reorganised to stay within them. Russia’s energy, wheat, metals, and rare earths will still be consumed, but not here – We (just) keep with the Big Macs.”
Meanwhile at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum aimed to enhance greater Eurasian economic cooperation President Putin pointed out that Western sanctions on Russia have failed, “EU’s direct calculable losses from the sanctions fever could exceed $400 billion dollars this year… a price of the decisions that are far removed from reality and contradict common sense.”
The Chairman of state Duma speaker Vyacheslav Volodin also pointed out, “the United States has created with its own hands the conditions for countries wishing to build equal dialogue and mutually beneficial relations to effectively form a ‘new G8’ together with Russia” whose GDP at purchasing power parity (PPP) is far stronger than the G7 economies”.
In an article by Pepe Escobar “The Sanctioned Ones: How Iran-Russia are setting new rules” to bypass sanctions, he highlights statement made by Sergei Glazyev, Russia’s Minister in Charge of Integration and Macroeconomics of the Eurasia Economic Union (EAEU) who said the forum “discussed the model of a new global settlement currency pegged to baskets of national currencies and commodities. The introduction of this currency instrument in Eurasia will entail the collapse of the dollar system and the final undermining of the US military and political power.”
It is not surprising that for Russia according to Dugin the war in Ukraine is “existential for the Russian people, their culture and civilization” and a successful outcome in Ukraine is the key to the creation of a multi- polar New World Order. Lucky for humanity this NWO is not the unipolar one envisioned by western Globalists.
