The Silence on the Siege of Kashmiris – Sehrish Khan Geopolitica.ru

In the last 74 years, Kashmiris have not given up even for a day, but with each passing day, their struggle for independence is increasing. Every young man and every child of the oppressed valley is fighting for liberation from the domination of Brahman. Kashmiris are imitating their predecessors and taking the path of jihad against India adding a new chapter to the bloody history of independence. On the other hand, Narendra Modi’s policies are breaking down on Kashmiris in anger. The Modi government is assaulting Kashmiris of their rights. India is not letting go of any opportunity that does not harm the independence movement.

In all these years, India has not resorted to any form of oppression, including genocide of Kashmiris, desecration of women, killing of children, imprisonment of innocent Kashmiris and damage to their valuable property. On August 5, 2019, India stripped Kashmiris of their separate identities by repealing Articles 370 and 35A, and for a long time imposed a tax in the Valley, turning it into the world’s largest penitentiary.

Kashmiris have been under siege for more than two years, with extrajudicial killings continuing in the occupied valley. Military vehicles laden with Indian security forces can be seen on the streets everywhere, as many as human rights violations are now taking place at the hands of the Indian Army – hardly ever happened in the history. On the one hand, the use of pellet guns is blinding the freedom fighters. Educational institutions are being turned into rubble with ammunition.

Human rights groups are also barred from entering the valley. Kashmiris are facing a double lockdown. Kashmiri men and women suffering from the deadly virus like corona have not been given access to hospitals. They are constantly deprived of medical treatment. Thousands of innocent Kashmiri people have been abducted from their homes under the guise of so-called search operations. Violence against the youth is being carried out in the penitentiaries of the occupying forces as a result of which thousands of people have been martyred. Thousands of unmarked graves are living proof of Indian brutality. The construction of new military bases and bunkers in Occupied Kashmir will further increase the incidence of Indian state terrorism in the Valley.

During the visit of Indian Home Minister Amit Shah to Srinagar, the siege against Kashmiri youth was further tightened and thousands of them were arrested. Amit Shah is a fanatic and accused of massacring Muslims in Gujarat but the Indian government and courts do not have the courage to take any legal action against him. It is not enough to drive Muslims out of India. Paramilitary forces, Border Security Forces and Central Reserve Police are continuing siege and search operations in Kashmir in which no human rights are observed. During combing operations, violence is commonplace in army camps, interrogation centers, police stations and prisons. Incidents of mass abuses to harass the population of Occupied Kashmir are on the rise. India is setting new records of war frenzy. The increasing number of youths being martyred in fake encounters in the occupied valley is deplorable.

It is unfortunate that the United Nations, the international community and the OIC have not yet shown any effective role in countering this oppression. Security Council meetings on the situation in Kashmir were also confined to a closed room. Unarmed Kashmiris have been left at the mercy of ruthless India.

It is unfortunate that human rights activists have also kept quiet about Indian atrocities in Kashmir.  On October 27, during the Black Day protests against the Indian occupation in the occupied valley, the Indian occupying forces started cracking down on the unarmed protesters, injuring dozens of Kashmiris.

It is a sign of India’s stubbornness that it is constantly rejecting UN resolutions and now the occupied valley has become the mainland. In the case of Kashmir, we need to learn a lesson from China and Nepal, which responded to Indian bullying as Nepal despite being a weak country, has stood firm against the stubbornness of India. It has shown its eyes to India by including Indian Territory in its map and approving its new map from the assembly.
