Ukraine’s Ban On “Politically Incorrect” Parties Adds Credence To Putin’s Magnum Opus – Andrew Korybko OneWorld

Amidst the confusion caused by the US’ unprecedented infowar, it’s absolutely integral that everyone familiarizes themselves with President Putin’s own words.

Ukrainian President Zelensky recently signed a law banning so-called “anti-Ukrainian” political parties, which are considered to be those with ‘politically incorrect’ interpretations of historical and/or recent events that don’t conform to the incumbent authorities’. Also falsely described as “pro-Russian” parties, they’re actually simply opposition ones of the norm in Western democracies, but obviously aren’t allowed in modern-day Ukraine’s literally fascist dictatorship where similar such opposition media are already banned too. Not only does this development discredit Kiev’s self-proclaimed “democratic credentials”, but it also adds credence to President Putin’s magnum opus from 12 July 2021.

His detailed academic article “On The Historical Unity Of Russians And Ukrainians” should be read in full by anyone who desires to learn his views about that country. For instance, despite the US-led Western Mainstream Media (MSM) claiming that he doesn’t recognize Ukraine as an independent state, he actually wrote the following about it: “Things change: countries and communities are no exception. Of course, some part of a people in the process of its development, influenced by a number of reasons and historical circumstances, can become aware of itself as a separate nation at a certain moment. How should we treat that? There is only one answer: with respect!”

Not only that, but in the specific context of the issue being analyzed in this article, he also shared the following insight: “Today, the ‘right’ patriot of Ukraine is only the one who hates Russia. Moreover, the entire Ukrainian statehood, as we understand it, is proposed to be further built exclusively on this idea. Hate and anger, as world history has repeatedly proved this, are a very shaky foundation for sovereignty, fraught with many serious risks and dire consequences.” As proven by Zelensky’s banning of ‘politically incorrect’ parties, President Putin’s assessment of the socio-political situation in Ukraine has since been confirmed to have been the most accurate one of any foreign leader by far.

This observation is crucial to keep in mind since it contradicts the primary narratives underpinning the MSM’s infowar against Russia. Far from denying Ukraine’s legitimate claims to statehood as an independent country, President Putin enthusiastically supported them, though he lamented that its nationalism has evolved to the point of allowing some of its people to be manipulated by self-interested domestic and foreign forces into considering their country to be a so-called “anti-Russia”. President Putin elaborated in last summer’s magnum opus that this project has essentially resulted in the entire state structure being weaponized against his country.

He explained that “The Western authors of the anti-Russia project set up the Ukrainian political system in such a way that presidents, members of parliament and ministers would change but the attitude of separation from and enmity with Russia would remain.” Furthermore, the Russian leader added that “In the anti-Russia project, there is no place either for a sovereign Ukraine or for the political forces that are trying to defend its real independence. Those who talk about reconciliation in Ukrainian society, about dialogue, about finding a way out of the current impasse are labelled as ‘pro-Russian’ agents.” He also presciently warned that Russia won’t tolerate Ukraine being used to threaten its national security.

According to President Putin, “All the subterfuges associated with the anti-Russia project are clear to us. And we will never allow our historical territories and people close to us living there to be used against Russia. And to those who will undertake such an attempt, I would like to say that this way they will destroy their own country.” That very clearly presaged the ongoing special military operation in Ukraine that was commenced on 24 February, during which day the Russian leader also elaborated in detail on the reasons behind his fateful decision that should be read in full after one finishes his magnum opus “On The Historical Unity Of Russians And Ukrainians”.

Taken together, that article from 21 July 2021 and his address to the Russian people on 24 February 2022 represent a consistent continuum of socio-political and strategic thought that clearly articulates the reasons why President Putin was compelled to commence his country’s special operation. Zelensky’s recent banning of ‘politically incorrect’ parties and false description of them as “pro-Russian” adds credence to his perspective by confirming that the Russian leader accurately assessed the true situation in that former Soviet Republic nearly a year ago. Amidst the confusion caused by the US’ unprecedented infowar, it’s absolutely integral that everyone familiarizes themselves with President Putin’s own words.
