Tbilisi will demand an explanation from the United States regarding USAID funding of training courses that prepared Georgian citizens for unrest and the overthrow of power in the country. This was stated by the head of the ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, in an interview with journalists.
The trainings for the Georgian youth were conducted by three Serbian citizens who traveled to Georgia in late September.
“The stated purpose of the visit of the above-mentioned people to Georgia was to conduct trainings for groups working in the cultural sphere on “strategic nonviolent struggle,” but the investigation showed that this was not the sole purpose of their visit to Georgia.
The real purpose of the visit was to establish communication and conduct training with those influential youth and NGOs that will become the core of the destructive and illegal actions planned in Georgia in October-December,” the Georgian State Security Service said.
According to the Service, the conferences held in Georgia were funded by USAID.
According to Irakli Kobakhidze, USAID in translation means U.S. assistance, but in reality “it is not U.S. assistance.”
In turn, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili assured that the authorities will not allow unrest.
“We will not allow destructive forces to destroy the country again. Since the 1990s we have gone through many crises in the country, whether it was civil unrest, wars or numerous destabilizations. This is the only period of peace and stability that our team, the government, has brought to the country. We know very well what their agenda is. Their goal is violence, unrest, destabilization,” he told a cabinet meeting.
The prime minister believes that opponents want to overthrow the government through violence and open a “second military front” in the country, and that the SSS’s actions are preventive. He also promised to severely punish anyone who implements anti-state plans. Garibashvili also expressed hope to receive “a proper explanation from the local USAID office.”
– The U.S. Embassy in Tbilisi tried to provide an explanation, calling the Georgian intelligence statement erroneous.
– As long as the Georgian authorities are sure that the West and America are on their side, they do not notice these things, even though they have been talking about them since the Rose Revolution, when the United States brought Mikhail Saakashvili to power.
It has never been a secret that the United States prepares its agents to start color revolutions and oust incumbent authorities. But each time the next government, including the Georgian government, thinks that “why should we, we have nothing to do with this, we are loyal, faithful, we serve America faithfully, we will not be overthrown, especially since we were brought to power with the help of such a technological scenario.”
Now Georgia, the current Georgian authorities, after barely hinting at their national interests, immediately found themselves under the threat of being overthrown with the help of the very technologies with which they were brought to power. In many other places, existing legitimate regimes have been ousted and pro-American regimes installed.
Just think of Kyrgyzstan, where one pro-American regime was overthrown by another pro-American regime, just because it dared to mention the preservation of the Russian military base and the commitment to maintain strategic relations with Russia. The number of successive presidents over the past two decades is such that it is impossible to remember their names.
How is Georgia different? As soon as there is the slightest front or action contrary to the position of the State Department or the U.S. authorities, there is a ready-made mechanism: you practically press a button and street activity, support, demonstrations, clashes with the police and “bang and you’re out,” one gets taken out, the next – some pro-American figure – comes in.
This technology has been developed for decades, but up to a certain point it seemed to the current Georgian authorities that they would not be touched: “Death is something that happens to others, it will not affect us, we are loyal, devoted.” And there is always a dilemma here: either the interests of his own state and people, or loyalty to the State Department. As long as he is loyal, he stays in place, but when he starts acting in the interests of his own people and country, he is immediately taken out.
He has finally reached even the pro-Western Georgian elites.
– What is the likelihood that after the Tbilisi statements the U.S. will suspend its “training” activities?
– It is easier for the Americans to suspend the actions of the current Georgian government and political regime than to suspend their programs. The programs were launched several decades ago all over the world and they work. It is a well-oiled mechanism that runs like clockwork: Soros funds it, the State Department controls it, American strategists write the methodologies. All this is a global program to implant American democracy all over the world. It will not be suspended in Georgia.
The situation, as I see it, is very simple: now the U.S. ambassador will come, open the door with his foot and say, “Okay, everybody shut up. In 10 minutes, if you don’t shut up, take it up with yourselves.” And he will leave. He won’t explain anything. And then they will have to sit at the table, drink wine, and decide: either they shut up or they face the United States in their country. Then they will have to prepare for a deaf defense, a prolonged confrontation.
Consequently, without a protectorate, without a “roof” from Russia, of course, they will not stand, they will be demolished in no time. People will come out into the streets and shout, “They are already transporting you.” This is the ultimate. Either you have already been torn to pieces like Gaddafi, or you are already flying in a Russian helicopter like Yanukovych. There are options, but, in any case, they are not so favorable for those who challenge American democracy.
Everything has been repeatedly tested, so much so that you only have to type “color revolution” on the Internet to see what will happen to you tomorrow after tomorrow. Yanukovych, Qaddafi or Bashar al-Assad is predicted. Assad called Russia, which came to his rescue. So did Georgia: “The interests of our state are more important, we ask Russia to come to save us from the State Department.” Then the State Department will start hissing, waving its claws and crawling away from Georgia to its lair. Or not, they will say, “We were joking, we went too far, we are hot Georgian boys, we had a little too much wine, forgive us ambassador, let me kiss your shoe.” Then everything will end more or less safely for them, but for a while.
– Are the Georgian authorities ready to escalate with the United States and defend national interests?
– One can relax and enjoy, or one can scratch and resist. In a short century of politics, everything will happen before our eyes. Let us see whether these are women or worthy husbands, heirs to a great nation and their great Georgian ancestors. We will soon find out.
