The world’s attention is narrowly focused now on the Israeli/American war on Iran, the raids, the bombings, the missiles, the destructions, the killings, the closure of the strait of Hormuz, and the devastating effects on world economy, a war characterized with vague and changing military goals. To understand the real undeclared goals of this seemingly nonsensical, super expensive, destructive, poorly planned and unclear end-goals destructive war, we need to expand our attention historically and globally to include the timing of this war within the graduated imperial global hegemonic scheme since WWI.
Short Iranian history
Between 1941-46 Iran was under Anglo-Soviet allied occupation but was managed by a constitutional monarchy, Mohammad Reza as the monarch (Shah), aided by a weak parliamentary system. The Anglo-Iranian Oil company (AIOC), an ancestor of today’s British Petroleum (BP), controlled Iran’s main oil fields and exported oil to the Allies during the war. The Soviets withdrew from Iran in 1946 after negotiations promising to build a joint Soviet Iranian oil company to guarantee oil export to the Soviet Union. The British rule, though, remained.
Since he became the prime minister in 1951 Mohammad Mosaddegh, also the leader of the National Front, pushed to limit the Shah’s power and to end British control over Iranian oil. After failed negotiations with the AIOC for fairer terms and audits Mosaddegh nationalized the oil industry, which triggered major confrontation with Britain, who then imposed a trade embargo on Iran.
Britain enlisted the help of the newly elected American Eisenhower administration to get rid of Mosaddegh. The British MI6 and the American CIA worked on a mutual covert operation – British Operation Boot and American Operation Ajax- to depose of Mosaddegh and to strengthen the Shah. Despite the Shah’s cooperation their initial attempt failed and led to the Shah’s flight out of the country. Yet, the second attempt was successful after orchestrating street violence and paid military units, and on 19 August 1953 Mosaddegh was arrested, tried for treason, jailed, and then kept under house arrest for life. The Shah was reinstated and ruled suppressively until he was deposed in the 1979 revolution.
After the 1979 Iranian revolution successive American administrations failed to topple the new Iranian regime. The 8 years (1980-1988) Iran Iraq war was incited during the last few months of President Jimmy Carter presidency, fed and intensified by President Ronald Reagan administration, then by President H. W. Bush administration with the cooperation of the successive Israeli Prime Ministers of Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir, and Shimon Peres. The US provided Iraqi Sadam Hussein with weapons, including chemical weapons, while Israel was selling weapons to Iran. That was a war of attrition when Iran and Iraq lost resources and human lives, while the US and Israel benefited financially and politically. The Iranian regime, though, survived and flourished.
Later the US attacked and destroyed Iraq under the guise of weapons of mass destruction and imposed the severest economic sanctions on Iran. Today, President Trump and genocidal criminal Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu have waged war of aggression against Iran under the guise of nuclear weapons and intercontinental ballistic missiles, another guise of weapons of mass destruction, that they, Israel and the US, themselves possess.
Israel’s real goal
This fake weapons of mass destruction excuse has been used to execute the next phases of the Greater Israel Project and the American global economical hegemony scheme. Since its criminal founding Zionist Israel had perpetrated many genocides against native Palestinians to supplant its foreign aggressive colonial settlers in the region. After its latest genocide against Palestinians of Gaza and the flattening of the Strip to the ground, Zionist leaders accused Iran of arming Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, and used this accusation to execute their second colonial phase of Greater Israel Project by diverting their genocidal momentum to attack and to divide Iran into small weaker vessel statelets knowing very well that American president Trump will join their war.
Since he became an Israeli Prime Minister in 1996, Netanyahu has been unsuccessfully urging successive American Presidents to attack Iran allegedly to stop it from developing nuclear weapons. After the two years of Israeli genocide against Palestinians and the flattening of the Gaza Strip to the ground with impunity and complacency of the western world and the dump silence of the neighboring cowardly Arab regimes, Netanyahu falsely felt empowered to attack Iran last June 2025 knowing very well that President Trump will join in. The attack was neither well planned nor well prepared, thus not successful as claimed. Iran responded fiercely stopping the attack.
The resulting American/Iranian nuclear peace negotiations were meant to give both Israel and the US enough time to properly prepare and to stock enough munitions for the anticipated Iranian military response in the next war. Israel was ready to absorb 700 Iranian missiles as Scott Ritter had revealed. Following Zionist’s plan, Netanyahu is ready to sacrifice the lives of many Jewish Israelis to advance Zionist’s Greater Israel Project. After all, the war against Iran will be waged using American weapons and American military, and any damage to Israeli infrastructure would be improvably rebuilt by American tax money.
American undeclared real goals
In the mid-1980s American economists (the Deep State or the Hidden Hand) perceived China to grow in few generations to become the major American economical adversary. This became apparent when in 2013 the Chinese President Xi Jinping launched the New Silk Road Initiative referred to as Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to establish a massive global infrastructure and trade strategy with countries connecting China to Europe across land and maritime routes.
It is a very well-known fact that China oversees the trade of the majority of the rare earth minerals essential for the semiconductor industry, a sector upon which the economies of most nations worldwide depend. China, also, was a major founder of BRICS coalition to strengthen economic, political, and social cooperation among member countries. China has been strengthening its economy and its global ties through fair and reasonable economic partnerships and investments with countries along the paths of its Belt and Road Initiative. To facilitate and to speed up trade financial interactions China created in 2015 a Yuan-based Cross-Border Interbank Payment System (CIPS) overseen by the People’s Bank of China (PBOC). This Yuan-based CIPS system is competing against and gradually replacing the Dollar-based Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) system affecting the Dollar hegemony.
To impede China’s political and economical rise and to sever its regional ties with other nations the American administrations and Israel have waged economical, biological, political, and recently military warfare against China and its key partners. In 2015 the Chinese busy port of Tianjin was nuked. In 2018 President Trump withdrew from the nuclear Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with Iran and imposed more severe economical sanctions against Iran. In 2019 conspiracy theories claimed that COVID-19 pandemic was actually a bioweapon manufactured in Ukraine and released in China. In 2020 Israel nuked Beirut port that was supposed to become a Chinese trade hub. In January 2026 Trump attacked Venezuela and kidnapped its president Nicolas Maduro and his wife to sabotage Chinese Venezuela’s trade agreement exporting Venezuela’s crude oil to China. Last June Israel and the US attacked Iran, and at the end of last month, February, they attacked Iran again despite the ongoing successful nuclear negotiations.
Taiwan Island has been perceived as the possible spark for WWIII between the West and the East. Taiwan became part of Chinese Qing Dynasty in 1683 until 1895 when it was annexed by Japan following the First Sino-Japanese War. After Japan’s 1945 surrender in WWII, Taiwan was returned to the Republic of China (ROC) until 1949 Chinese Civil War when the People’s Republic of China (PRC) was established and Taiwan got separated and operated as a de facto independent presidency.
Taiwan holds immense global strategic, economic, and political importance. It is the largest global source of rare earth minerals essential for semiconductor chips needed for all types of industries starting from the simple hand-held calculators to the most sophisticated fighter planes. These semiconductor chips are the basic building blocks for global economies.
China had stated its plans to re-unite Taiwan back to China motherland in 2027. The Chinese understand that such an act will ignite a war against the US and its European allies. China has been quietly and aggressively building and improving its military capabilities. Its politicians had openly bragged about their hypersonic cluster missiles with multiple nuclear heads. China had also built a large and strong fighter plane carriers that are sailing in East and South China Seas surrounding the Taiwan Island. China has been improving its political and economical ties with neighboring countries, BRICS countries, and particularly with Russia and Iran. China and Iran signed in March 2021 a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, also known as 25-year Strategic Cooperation agreement.
Chinese political and economic influence with its Yuan-based PICS system have been steadily expanding especially within the Arab Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar, who started considering economical agreements with China. The Chinese Yuan-based CIPS system has grown to threaten the Petrodollar hegemony.
The US sent its fleets to roam South China Sea and around Taiwan in a warning gesture. American presidents worked on improving American Taiwan economic cooperation. In response China sent its fleet closer to Taiwan. The possibility of a future military confrontation between US and China over Taiwan has become predictable. Since the US has been involved in too many military fronts around the world, its economy is slowly collapsing with $40 billion national debt, its military is overstretched and exhausted, and its munition depots are running low with slow refurbishing process, the strong militarily armed, technologically highly advanced China would win such a war. How would the US deal with this situation?
The American solution
The defeat and the withdrawal of three American aircraft carriers, the USS Dwight Eisenhower, the USS Harry Truman, and the USS Carl Vinson in the 2024-2025 war against the 11-years war battered Houthis taught American leaders that winning modern wars does not depend on the number of aircraft carriers, especially when your enemy, like China, has more modern and far advanced aircraft carriers, fighter planes, and nuclear intercontinental hypersonic missiles.
A more effective American strategy was developed to sever Chinese trade routes with other countries, to block all its land and maritime routes with the outer world, to block its Belt and Road Initiative, and to starve its economy from the energy, gas and oil, it needs to sustain its industry. This is an economical choke strategy. For whoever holds the keys to energy resources and supply chains to the West Asian region would effectively hold a “veto power” over China’s economic growth and thus degrade China from an economic rival to a “geographic prisoner” desperately seeking an escape route.
In a step-by-step military operation this strategy would have the US invade Venezuela to stop exporting its crude oil to China, Panama, and Cuba, and to control the southern hemisphere maritime routes through the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean.
Occupying and controlling the entire western hemisphere starting with Greenland north to Panama south would allow the US to block the Polar Silk Road route. Sailing this route frees the Chinese trade ships from the geopolitical maritime chokepoints of US-controlled Strait of Malacca (world’s most important maritime chokepoints), from the Indian Ocean, and from the constant war conflicting Red Sea route. This polar route is about 3,780 nautical miles shorter and saves the ships up to 40% of navigation time (20-30 days) and almost 20% of fuel expenses.
President Trump has revealed parts of this strategy in many of his slip of the tongue egotistical speeches threatening to impose tariffs, to acquire Greenland, Venezuela, Panama, and Cuba to protect the “American western hemisphere” by building a “golden dome.”
Trump was able to “decapitate” Venezuela’s regime kidnapping its president Maduro and his wife in a military operation bypassing congressional approval and in violation of international law. He then invited oil corporations to take over Venezuela’s oil fields. Yet, before these oil corporations begin to move in on Venezuela’s oil fields Trump made his biggest mistake of attacking Iran.
Delusional by American success in Venezuela Trump ordered the “decapitation” of the Iranian regime that might lead to the collapse of the country, allowing Israel and the US to move in. Iran would be divided into smaller weaker vessel statelets, Israel would control northern Iran along the Caspian Sea and the Turkish eastern borders blocking Chinese Silk Road land route. Invading Turkey would be the next phase in Greater Israeli project. Turkey is the new Iran as the former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is fomenting. The US would gain total control of eastern and western shores of the Persian Gulf and over the Strait of Hormuz. Thus, limiting and controlling all oil and gas exports to China.
Iran is not Venezuela, is not Iraq, not Syria, nor Lebanon. Decapitation of its political, military, and religious leaders produces public cohesion rather than collapse. Most Americans, and the Western world for that matter, do not understand that Iran is ruled by a theocratic-republican system, a mixture of elected political institutions with clerical oversight. The decapitation of one does not negate the other.
For the last forty years Iranian leadership have been observing and studying the Western, particularly the American, methods of meddling in and destroying its Arab neighboring states. Understanding that their turn would come, they have been adapting their political system and building their military structure to defeat the expected American attack. They developed what could be called a “mosaic leadership doctrine.” That is forming separate independent leadership institutions, who can make their own independent political and military decisions if the main political and military leaders get decapitated.
Preparing for this foreseen war Iranian had developed sophisticated intelligence electronic systems and powerful military weapons, some of which we have already witnessed such as suicidal drones and the “dancing” hypersonic cluster missiles that could not be intercepted by any rocket system. Iranians are promising even more advanced weaponry.
Iranian closure of the Strait of Hormuz affecting the global energy supply would be the first logical Iranian response to the American Israeli attack. Yet Trump stated that his administration did not predicted or expected such a closure. Such a statement raises a huge question mark about the intelligence of Trump’s administration.
It is now Iran’s turn to impose economic sanctions against the US and its allies. Iran announced that it will give safe passage through Strait of Hormuz to oil tankers belonging to countries, who would expel American ambassadors, close American military bases in their countries, and who would transfer their oil transactions from the Petrodollar to the Chinese Petro-Yuan.
America and Israel had started the war, but they will not be able to end it. Iran will end it after accomplishing a huge victory for itself and initiating an emergence of a new multi-polar world order. Iran will have all economic sanctions cancelled. It will demand preparatory compensation and recognition as a major global decision maker with a veto power in the new world order.
The Zionist Greater Israel Project will fail miserably. A large portion of the state of Israel has been destroyed by the Iranian missiles. Feeling unsafe the Israeli occupiers are running away from occupied Palestine going back to their original countries. The state of Israel will disappear. Global Anti-Jewish hatred against Jewish Israelis and, unfortunately, against world Jewry is intensifying.
A new Middle East will emerge, but different than what the American neocons had in mind. It will be free from American military bases that were a huge burden and danger rather than protection of Gulf States. Certain Arab regimes will “disappear”, and new ones will take their places. A Palestinian state will emerge.
American international status is declining. The US will lose its prestigious international influence in the newly emerging world order. American allies have already abandoned the US. Petrodollar will lose its hegemony. American economy will go through a recession due to its huge national debt. Internal civil riots and violent rallies like that of January 6th, 2021, may lead to states’ separation.
This war brings global political, economic, and humanitarian changes. All the warring parties will suffer great destruction and loss of human lives. Only China will emerge as the only winner without firing one single shot.
